Am Anfang Ist Kaputt (At The Beginning is Kaput), 2009
„Am Anfang Ist Kaputt“2009, (At The Beginning is Kaput), is a publication by Mikoriza Bookpress, with an edition of two books.
The books were edit-made for the exhibition „What‘s hidden behind the pastoral„ at Mamuta Art and Media Center, Ein Karem.
The Books contain local seeds which are embedded in mold-made paper, and bound in a black linen cover.
In the exhibition one book was available to readbrowse and the other one was irrigated by an irrigation-unit (taftafot). During the exhibition the seeds sprouted and the book‘s story started to grow.
The book is a homage to Pardot Kynes (d. 10175 AG) my Umma and the Imperial Planetologist of Arrakis – Dune (1965) by Frank Herbert
